Last Word: Edwin Banacia
Senior Director, Media, Ideaworks USA…
What is your chief characteristic?
What do you appreciate most about your friends?
Friends? I don’t have friends in real life anymore. They all exist on another planet called Facebook.
Who is your favorite hero in fiction?
I’m not really a “fictional hero” type of guy. But I did use a Superhero Name Generator I found online, and if I were a fictional hero, I’d apparently be called “The Magnificent Mariner.”
Who is your favorite heroine in fiction?
Anyone with a tight, leather superhero outfit
What is the best thing you have ever won?
I used to play sports, and then I realized that I could just buy trophies. Now I’m good at everything.
What did your mother always tell you?
“Stop buying trophies.”
What is the worst idea you’ve ever had?
Changing my Facebook relationship status to “It’s Complicated.” Let’s face it, if your status is “It’s Complicated,” you really should stop kidding yourself and change it to “Single.”
What is your favorite food?
Anything that is followed by dessert — and you know what I mean when I say “dessert.”
Which talent would you most like to have?
I’d love to make procrastination a talent.
What movie do you love to watch repeatedly?
Let’s face it, if “Karate Kid” or any “Rocky” movie were to come on Encore and you’ve just stepped out of the shower, you’re about to have a wet couch.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I was playing hide and seek with some friends and decided that the clothes hamper in the bathroom was a great place to hide. Well, let’s just say, my mother’s friend wasn’t thrilled when she discovered me in the hamper while she was using the restroom. I tried to explain that I wasn’t a young pervert, but for some reason, I don’t think she was listening to me.
What historical figure do you despise the most?
It’s really almost impossible to name anyone here other than Hitler.
What TV show is your guilty pleasure?
As I get older, I lose my passion for TV shows. But, over the years, I look back fondly at “The Wonder Years.”
What is the last book you read?
I’m reading a David Sedaris book right now, and I must admit, I don’t see what all the hype is about.
What is your theme song?
My life is a Hans Zimmer soundtrack.
